VISIT DENVER, The Convention & Visitors Bureau
Why Choose Our Destination?
Welcome to Denver, where 300 days of sunshine, a thriving cultural scene, diverse neighborhoods and urban adventure combine to make the world's best meeting destination. A vibrant city at the base of Colorado’s Rocky Mountains, Denver landed at number two in U.S. News & World Report’s 2020-21 list of the best places to live. And the reasons that make Denver a great place to reside are the same reasons why it’s a great place to meet. Denver International Airport (DEN), is the world’s third busiest airport and as of February 2022, DEN was servicing more than 1,500 daily flights. An extensive development project is currently underway that will add 39 new gates and other improvements, allowing DEN to be the largest airport presence for three different carriers; United, Southwest, and Frontier Airlines. Once here, the A Line train will whisk your attendees directly from DEN to Denver Union Station, which is a hip transportation, dining, shopping and entertainment hub. The station is within walking distance of chef-driven restaurants, breweries, museums, theaters and more than 12,000 hotel rooms. Recent hotel openings include the 263-room Hyatt Centric, as well as a 216-room Thompson Denver by Hyatt and a 140-room ViB by Best Western Hotel & Resorts. Denver is also rapidly growing to meet the needs of larger meetings and conventions. The Colorado Convention Center is undergoing a major expansion, including the development an 80,000 sf ballroom, plus the addition of expansive new pre-function and service space that will include an outdoor, rooftop terrace. Both the pre-function and outdoor event spaces will have spectacular, unobstructed views of the Rocky Mountains and city skyline, allowing event attendees to take advantage of Denver's iconic panoramas. More spectacular views can be found on the patios and rooftops of Denver’s chef-driven restaurants, including those in historic Larimer Square and at Avanti F&B, part of the city’s recent boom of food halls and gourmet markets. From Food & Wine to The New York Times, Denver's reputation for fine dining has risen enormously in recent years, thanks to award-winning chefs, innovative chef-owned eateries and a focus on locally sourced cuisine.
